Choosing Cremation.

Cremation, as a final way of letting go of the dead body, has been practiced for centuries now.. For many, it’s still not an accepted choice, yet for many cultures, it’s widely accepted. It is imperative to know what really goes on if the surviving family choose cremation for their departed. We would all like our loved ones to receive a decent exit so here is a brief overview on the service leading to cremation

Before the actual cremation procedure, the funeral director of your chosen funeral service company must have the authorization document from the dead’s immediate family. This agreement says that the surviving family allows the cremation process for the dead family member, with all the important signatures.

The funeral director must also remove all jewellery from the deceased along with other pieces of metal such as pace makers, metal legs and artificial teeth. This is done on the day of the cremation and is carried out to avoid any procedural mishaps

The dead body is then placed inside a cremation container or wooden chest as these types of containers burn easily during the cremation procedure. Of course, correct tagging or identification is carried out so as not to send the incorrect fragments to the living family members.

Thirty minutes is necessary to cool down after the completing the entire burning process It can also be extended up to an hour if necessary. After the cool-down process, the bone fragments will be subjected to another process. The fragments are to be placed on top of a working table whereby the crematory person will be asked to purge all the metal debris, either by means of a big magnet or by hand.

After the metal debris has been eliminated, the bone fragments are put in a machine that pulverizes it until it reaches the “ash” consistency. The ash has the consistency of fine powder and it’s usually dubbed as cremains (cremated remains).

The cremains are then kept in the family’s chosen urn. In the absence of an urn, the cremains will be placed in a transitory container.
The cremation process is easy and quick. It is also an affordable choice, and it is still a respectable way to say goodbye to your dead loved one.
