New Moon – The Motion Picture, Mania And Movie Products
New Moon, the second in the line of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga to arrive on the massive screen, has had one thing of a bumpy ride getting here. First up there was the difficulty of Edward Cullen, acted in the movies by heart-throb Robert Pattinson, and the restricted quantity of time he’s actually within the second book, and then there was the difficulty of the lawsuit filed by an old faculty room-mate of Meyer’s, who was claiming alleged plagiarism against the Twilight author.
The solid and crew soldiered on though, and the result of their labors has rapidly become a monstrously big hit all over the globe. Edward is seen throughout the movie in a way that might seem a little cheesy, but then, this is the Twilight range, and cheese is no stranger to it. Having said that, the movie has been getting a lot of better reviews than the first entry in the line, that was panned by several critics and brought to task for a number of the rather prickly aspects of the link concerning a teenage girl and a century-old vampire.
It would seem that the makers of the Twilight films over at Summit Entertainment heard the useful analysis of some reviews (and overlooked the rants of those who hated it) and have produced a much better movie now round. Their hard work has born fruit, and forecasts of the movie being a huge hit have been confirmed to be authentic. Fans have been stampeding to determine it, and the New Moon products area is bursting withnew-found items for fans to collect.
The series of New Moon products appears a little classier than previously for franchises like Harry Potter, as the books that each one of this comes from are geared toward a different demographic; specifically kids in their early to mid teens, instead of children upwards. This is often why some aspects of the merchandising, like the Twilight and New Moon replica jewellery, is showing to be such a robust seller.
It is also fascinating that alternative New Moon products items like posters, calendars, bookmarks and others of their ilk are therefore popular with fans, along with special editions of the books themselves, as this is rather different to the way that things sometimes associate with movie products.
The special editions of the Twilight novels are actually seen as collector’s items to many fans, with these Twilight special editions staying untouched on shelves or still in their packaging whereas their well-thumbed paperbacks are often enjoyed. The audience is thrilled with the most recent movie, although several critics are again ripping it apart. That is a sign of one thing with a very robust fanbase indeed, and it can certainly continue when ‘Eclipse’, the third Twilight movie in the collection, gets here.
